At Nature's Nook, we combine our students in mixed-age studios. We have three studios: Rainbow, Sunshine and Twilight.
The Rainbow Studio is for students aged 15 months up to one year and 11 months.
Sunshine and Twilight Studios are for children aged two to four years old.
Why Mixed Ages? The Power of Learning Together

Walk into a traditional preschool, and you'll find three-year-olds with three-year-olds, four-year-olds with four-year-olds. Walk into a Montessori classroom at Nature's Nook, and you'll discover something beautifully different: children aged 15 months to two years old, alongside two-year-olds and four-year-olds, learning, playing, and growing together. This isn't by accident—it's by design.

A Natural Family Dynamic​​
Mixed-age grouping mirrors the real world. Just like siblings at home, children in our classrooms benefit from learning alongside those who are younger and older. This creates a nurturing community where:

In a mixed-age environment, there's no "top of the class" or "bottom of the class"—just individuals on their own unique learning journey. A four-year-old might be an expert at pouring activities and help a younger friend, while seeking guidance from an older child on letter sounds. This fluid exchange builds collaboration over competition and celebrates each child's strengths.
